Installation Instructions:
- Start by removing the front number from your motorcycle.
- Carefully cut away the cable ties that hold the start and stop switch cables on the handlebars. Then unscrew the clamps and let them hang freely.
- Locate the switch connector on the bike. It is often located near the steering head on the chassis, but sometimes it can be under the tank.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the switch, remembering how the cables are routed for future installation.
- Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, such as Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
- Loosely attach the new switch to the handlebars in the desired position.
- Route the cables according to the old switch and connect the connector.
- Check that the cables have enough slack by turning the handlebars to full extension and ensure that the cables are not pulled too tight. Adjust if necessary.
- Reattach the cable ties to keep the cables in place and prevent damage from roost.
- Reattach the license plate.
